Welcome to my world!  Much like your world it’s filled with too many things to do and lot’s of details that take up my time when all I really want to do is design.  Unfortunately the world of a designer isn’t all that glamorous and the actual design part is only a small percentage of what needs to be done.  In my perfect world…know as “Candi Land”, I would be able to play with yarn, draw pictures, play with my grandchildren, make endless trips around the country to meet all my fans, take a vacation, even go to a movie.  Unfortunately I can’t seem to get anyone to let me live perpetually in Candi Land and so I have to reside in real world with everyone else.   

So here I sit in my office trying to think of what I want to tell all of you about my designs, books, upcoming events, etc. and I’m drawing a total blank.  Another problem with real world…. the brain freeze.  In Candi Land I’m absolutely brilliant ALL the time. I can tell you that I plan to update my blog every week. That will be the plan anyway and I’ll just have to see if I can stick to it.  I also plan to put new designs up at least once a month, yes, free designs.  I have all these wonderful ideas that I can’t seem to get into a book or magazine that I really want to share with you.  Speaking of which I would love to hear what designs you would love to see and just can’t seem to find.  After all, this web site is for you, my wonderful public. So please email me, candi@candijensen.com; let me know what you would like to see in a book or on the web site.  Lastly I will also try to let all of you know when I’ll be speaking/teaching/book signing, in the calendar section so you would be able to stop by and say Hi.   

Check back often and tell your friends, in fact share me with any one you can think.  For me it’s all about reaching the knitters and crocheters out there who would love to join me in “Candi Land”.
